Gigantosaurus, a new CGI-animated series from Paris-based Cyber Group Studios, has been picked up by Disney Junior Worldwide. The toon will launch globally, excluding India and Taiwan, in 2019.
Gigantosaurus, which has already sold to France Télévisions and Germany’s Super RTL, follows four young dinosaur friends as they go on adventures and attempt to discover the secrets of Gigantosaurus, the biggest and fiercest creature of all. The series is based on the book of the same name by Jonny Duddle and published by Templar Publishing.
Cyber Group Studios’ Olivier Lelardoux (Zou) will direct the show, which is aimed at kids ages four to six.
Last year, Cyber Group struck deals with broadcasters and digital platforms for more than 10 series in its catalog, including Zorro The Chronicles, Mini-Ninjas, Ozie Boo, Tales of Tatonka, Zou, The Long Long Holiday, The Pirates Next Door and Mirette Investigates. Additionally, the company recently launched a new US subsidiary with a focus on establishing a North American foothold.
