After helping the US collectibles category grow by 33% last year, Moose Toys’ Shopkins brand is ready to sing about it.
The Australian toyco is partnering with theatrical producer Koba Entertainment (Dora the Explorer Live!, The Backyardigans: Sea Deep in Adventure) to launch the first Shopkins Live! production, which will kick off in the US this fall.
Shopkins Live! will premiere in Buffalo on September 14 before rolling out in 75 cities across the country. Tickets for the tour go on sale on April 28.
The production will feature fan-favorite Shopkins and Shoppies characters–including Jessicake and Peppa-Mint–as they prepare for Shopville’s annual Funtastic Food and Fashion Fair. It will include original music and video highlights.
The announcement follows the premiere of Moose Toys’ first-ever Shopkins movie, Shopkins Chef Club, which was released in 2016 by Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. Since its launch in 2014, the Shopkins brand has grown to include more than 140 collectible toy characters, a line of Shoppies dolls and an animated webisode series on YouTube that has more than 230 million views.
