UK-based Bulldog Licensing has signed deals with four new UK licensees for ZAG’s hit animated series Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. The deals follow the show’s UK premiere, which saw a 45% spike in Disney Channel’s average ratings in the region.
The new licensees include Gosh! Designs at PMS International (stationery, small toys and creative play), IglooBooks (book publishing), Kokomo (dental and gift sets) and Roy Lowe (socks).
Miraculous follows Marinette and Adrien as they transform into superhero alter egos Ladybug and Cat Noir. It launched on Disney Channel UK in 2016 and has become the number one show for the broadcaster.
Season two will air later this year in the UK on free-to-air broadcaster Pop, along with Disney Channel. A third season is also in the works and Netflix recently picked up the rights to all three seasons for the US.
The new partnerships join existing partners Maad Toys (bags and purses), Rubies (dress-up), Gemma International (greeting cards and gift packaging), Aykroyds/TDP (nightwear and underwear), Whitehouse Leisure (plush), Dreamtex (duvet covers, curtains, fleece blankets) and Bandai (master toy).
