Canada’s Teletoon has set February 6 for the premiere of The Bagel and Becky Show, produced by Boat Rocker Media-owned animation prodco Radical Sheep Productions.

The 52 x 11-minute comedy series, which follows a pair of mismatched siblings who encounter strange situations, will air at 4:30 p.m. daily on Corus Entertainment’s Teletoon.

The series is based on Bagel’s Lucky Hat, a children’s book penned by Ottawa-based author Dave Cooper.

Voiced by Kevin McDonald (Kids in the Hall) and Nikki Payne (Last Comic Standing), the series is aimed at six- to 11-year-olds.

The Bagel and Becky Show is produced by Radical Sheep’s Heather Wilson and Nadine Henry, with company president Michelle Melanson Cuperus executive producing alongside John Leitch.

Animation services on the project were handled by Jam Filled Entertainment, which Boat Rocker acquired in August 2016.

Outside of Canada, BBC Worldwide holds rights to the series across all platforms.
