UK-based SKY has picked up 70 animated musical clips of Badanamu from South Korean producer Calm Island and Paris-based LNC Media. The preschool content will be available on all SKY platforms including the recently launched SKY Kids App.

The 70 songs from Badanamu include classic nursery rhymes, the ABCs and pop songs. The animated  clips launched online in 2013. Since their debut, they have been viewed more than 1.3 billion times on YouTube, Alibaba, Roku and Ten Cent.

Additionally, Calm Island has developed more than 500 mini-games, 20 apps, 300 interactive books, 125 picture and storybooks and an online multiplayer game. A 52 x eight-minute preschool series is currently in production and is expected to launch in fall 2017 on Tiji, Gulli in France and on YouTube.

Recently, French broadcaster Lagardère Active acquired territory rights for Badanamu songs, CGI-animated shorts and the upcoming preschool series. Lagardère Active will represent the series in French-speaking Europe and Africa.

SKY currently offers more than 4,500 episodes of short-form digital content on demand for kids. In addition to adding preschool content with Badanamu, SKY is working to expand its slate for older kids.
