The Jim Henson Company, Industrial Brothers and Canadian pubcaster CBC—the forces behind animated series Dot.have teamed up with mobile firm REDspace to release Dotopedia.

Free on iOS and Android devices, Dotopedia features 200 encyclopedic-type articles in the form of games and activities. Kids can upload their own photos, audio clips and stories to a safe-guarded environment, and one device allows for multiple accounts, meaning siblings can share.

Dotopedia falls in line with Dot.‘s premise, which follows an eight-year-old girl as she uses technology to enhance her adventures.

The 52 x 11-minute series, based on the book of the same name by Randi Zuckerberg, currently airs on Kids’ CBC in Canada and Sprout in the US. Recently Sprout also released an original holiday special for the series.
