Disney|ABC Television Group has been named the company of distinction for the 38th edition of the Banff World Media Festival (BANFF).

The US media company manages all of The Walt Disney Company, Disney and ABC’s television properties, including ABC Television Network, ABC Studios, Disney Channels Worldwide and Freeform.

As company of distinction, Disney|ABC execs and showrunners will be featured throughout BANFF. The four-day festival will include keynote presentations from Channing Dungey, president of ABC Entertainment; Patrick Moran, president of ABC Studios; Gary Marsh, president and chief creative officer, Disney Channels; and Tom Ascheim, president, Freeform.

Previous company of distinction honorees include CBS Corporation, Lionsgate Entertainment, A+E Networks and HBO.

Kidscreen parent company Brunico Communications acquired Achilles Media, as well as the operating rights to BANFF, earlier this year. BANFF will take place June 11 to 14, 2017 at Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Banff, AB.
