Singapore-based content distribution and production company Bomanbridge Media has acquired Asian distribution rights to animated series Mojicons from Denmark’s Ink Group.

Mojicons tells the story of the behind-the-scenes world of the internet, which is populated by emoticons known as Mojicons. When a mysterious villain steals the “@” sign and halts electronic correspondence, the Mojicons embark on a quest to save the internet universe.

The 52 x 11-minute series is the brainchild of Russian creators Alexander Romanetz and Viacheslav Marchenko. Ink Group, which holds global rights to the series outside of Asia, plans to turn the IP into a global cross-media franchise.

Bomanbridge exclusively represents programming from around the world in Asia, with satellite offices in India, Korea and Mongolia. Recently, Bomanbridge sold the PBS KIDS series Odd Squad to a number of broadcasters in the region.
