US preschool net Sprout will debut five new original holiday specials over American Thanksgiving weekend.

The specials include Nina’s World: Hanukkah Adventure (November 25 at 5 p.m.); Terrific Trucks Save Christmas (5:30 p.m.); Ruff-Ruff, Tweet and Dave, a Christmas Adventure (6:30 p.m.); Noddy Toyland Detective: The Case of the Snow Mystery (November 26, 9:30 a.m.); and Dot.: “The Holiday Tree” (11 a.m.).

In addition to the specials, Sprout will also be launching a series of holiday-themed, live-action vignettes around the theme Be Present. The specials are part of a ongoing focus Sprout has had on original programming.

Nina’s World: Hanukkah Adventure will follow Nina and her friends (from the Sprout original series) as they learn about Hanukkah from Jennifer Goldstein (voiced by The Big Bang Theory’s Mayim Bialik). The group goes on a city-wide search for oil to make Hanukkah treats and to light the community menorah.

Terrific Trucks Save Christmas is a live-action series that follows five trucks fighting against a businessman who is trying to stop the town’s 100-year-old Christmas tree-raising tradition.

Ruff-Ruff, Tweet and Dave, a Christmas Adventure (pictured) is about the main characters from the Sprout/C-Beebies-commissioned series finding Santa’s hat that he needs to drive the sleigh, and then trying to return it to him.

Noddy Toyland Detective: The Case of the Snow Mystery follows Noddy from the DreamWorks Animation CGI-animated show and his attempts to make it snow in Toyland for Christmas Day.

Dot: The Holiday Tree takes place after Dot finds out she accidentally got rid of all the decorations for the town tree and then has to make new ones, while also writing songs with her friends. Dot. is a new Sprout original series based on the book by Randi Zuckerberg, produced by the Industrial Brothers in association with The Jim Henson Company and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC).
