Italian animation studio and licensor Rainbow has named Boston-based Auldey Toys of North America, a subsidiary of The Alpha Group, as the North American master toy licensee for its original animated series Regal Academy.

Currently airing in the US on Nickelodeon, Regal Academy follows the grandchildren of famous fairytale heroes and heroines—including protagonist Rose Cinderella—as they attend school in the modern world.

A full line of fashion dolls and playsets from Auldey Toys is set to launch in mid-2017. The products are designed for girls ages five and older, and the toys will span 14 SKUs across seven assortments. The line will be exhibited at the upcoming Fall Toy Preview in Dallas.

Regal Academy, created and produced by Rainbow in collaboration with Italian pubcaster Rai Fiction, will roll out to additional global platforms later this year. It  has been sold  into more than 120 countries to date, and the IP also has more than 80 licensees signed up so far.
