New animated series Kuu Kuu Harajuku will premiere exclusively on Nickelodeon US, October 3. Co-created and executive produced by famed pop star and designer Gwen Stefani, the toon follows the adventures of girl band HJ5 as its members explore music and fashion.

A full episode of the series is available now on Nick.com and the Nick App.

The girl-focused 2D-animated show’s first season will feature 26 episodes and aims to encourage creativity and individuality.

Alongside Stafani, the series was co-created and produced by Australia’s Moody Street Kids and Malaysia’s Vision Animation. It was commissioned by Australia’s Network Ten, with investment funding from Film Victoria (Australia) and MyCreative Ventures (Malaysia). DHX Media is handling international distribution for Kuu Kuu Harajuku and brokered the deal with Nickelodeon.
