American Girl is making more friends.

On the heels of inking a multi-year partnership with Toys “R” Us that made the retailer the first US chain to feature the Mattel brand’s shop-in-shops, American Girl has now named Wisconsin-based specialty department store Kohl’s as a select carrier for its 2016 Girl of the Year products. The agreement will also see Kohl’s offer American Girl’s WellieWishers line in more than 1,100 stores across the US.

Earlier this year, Mattel unveiled the 2016 Girl of the Year Lea across multiple product categories, including publishing and digital.

Lea, along with WellieWishers dolls, outfits and accessories, will be available exclusively in-store at Kohl’s locations nationwide beginning October 3 through to the end of the year. Prices range from US$24 for accessories to US$120 for the Girl of the Year doll and book.

The expansions with Toys “R” US, which is now an exclusive carrier of American Girl’s Truly Me dolls, outfits and accessories, and Kohl’s join American Girl’s 20 proprietary stores in the US and its online stores.
