UK-based Aardman’s longtime head of sales and acquisitions Alix Wiseman has left the company and will be replaced by the studio’s current senior sales manager Alison Taylor (pictured).

In her new role for Aardman Rights and Brand Development, the company’s international marketing and distribution arm, Taylor will be tasked with the global distribution of Aardman’s portfolio of kids and family content, as well as third-party hits including Bing (Acamar Films) and Digby Dragon (Blue Zoo).

Wiseman, who joined Aardman in 2006, has not announced what her next move will be.

The restructure will also see senior distribution and acquisitions manager Robin Gladman take a broader role in expanding Aardman’s brands across new and emerging digital platforms.

The latest moves follow the company’s recent appointment of former Scholastic exec Ruth Preston as sales manager for Central and Eastern Europe, Benelux, Latin America and South Africa.
