PBS KIDS’ hit math-based comedy Odd Squad is branching out into live events with Odd Squad Live, its first-ever interactive musical. The production from Mills Entertainment and Sinking Ship Entertainment kicks off on a 60-city North American tour this fall.
Landing first at The Paramount Theatre in Rutland, Vermont on October 7, the show will let kids in the audience become secret agents on stage, solve a strange case in real time and use some of Odd Squad‘s famous gadgetry.
The show concept will see kids use math skills to help Odd Squad members unravel a mystery after agents Orion and Oleanna get turned into grownups by a villainous group.
Songs from the Odd Squad’s favorite band, Soundcheck, will also be featured in the show, as well as new songs from composer Paul Buckley.
A complete list of tour dates can be found here and stops will include both school and public performances.
Odd Squad Live is produced by the series’ creators Tim McKeon and Adam Peltzman, along with co-executive producer Mark DeAngelis.
The Emmy-winning series is produced for PBS in the US and TVO and SRC in Canada by Sinking Ship Entertainment and The Fred Rogers Company.
