m4e tapped to rep Super Wings

The brand-management company is taking on the L&M program for Super Wings in German-speaking territories.

German brand-management and media company m4e  is in the pilot’s seat when it comes to licensing and merchandising for animated preschool series Super Wings.

m4e has been named Super Wing’s licensing agent for German-speaking territories, where it will rep the brand in all categories (excluding TV and home entertainment).

The Super Wings toy line—distributed worldwide by Alpha Toys—will launch in the US in October, followed by Germany, Austria and Switzerland in mid-2017.

The 52 x 11-minutes series from  Funny Flux, EBS and CJ E&M (Korea), Little Airplane Productions (US), and Qianqi Animation (China) is slated to begin airing early next year on German pubcaster  KiKA. which is also on-board as a co-pro partner.

Since its debut on Korean pubcaster EBS in 2014, Super Wings has been sold to more than 40 countries.

Earlier this year, Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana was named as the brand’s licensing agent in France. Nelvana also holds CP rights to the series in North America, representing all categories except for toys, which is handled by Imports Dragon in Canada and Auldey Toys in the US.  

CJ E&M currently holds global distribution rights to the series (excluding Asia and the Middle East).
