The word of the day is partnership as Sesame Workshop has appointed Running Press as its licensee for a number of new publishing formats.

Philadelphia-based Running Press’ books and publishing kits will feature classic Sesame Street characters in six deluxe storybook and treasury collections, as well as four mini-kit format titles.

The new products will launch this fall at US retailers with A Very Elmo Christmas, a slip-cased edition including holiday stickers and a Christmas countdown poster. The Goodnight Elmo Kit, meanwhile, features a mini storybook and an Elmo nightlight and will follow in February 2017. Releases will continue throughout 2017 with Sesame Street I Can Do It!: A Treasury of Stories in April and a picture book in fall 2017.

The deal with Running Press, which falls under the Hachette Book Group umbrella, represents another publishing extension for the Sesame Street brand, which already boasts a strong eBook and physical book licensing presence.
