Vancouver, Canada-based animation studio Bardel Entertainment has made two new appointments. Lenny Brown (pictured) has been tapped as business development manager within business affairs and sales, while Tina Chow joins the Rainbow-owned company as director of development and strategy.

Brown heads to Bardel from Toonz Entertainment, bringing with him more than a decade of industry experience. He previously held corporate development and management roles at THQ, HBO, Sony and Universal.

Meanwhile, during her 15-year tenure in the animation industry, Chow has delivered more than 300 episodes of content,  including Mattel’s Monster High movies, Hot Wheels: Battle Force Five and Blaze and the Monster Machines. In her new role, she will be heavily involved with the development and management of incoming content for Bardel.

Bardel currently employs 550 artists and professionals in its three studio locations in the Canadian province of British Columbia. The company’s current service work slate includes King Julien, Mack & Moxy, Puss in Boots, VeggieTales, Dinotrux, Rick & Morty, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Teen Titans Go!

After being acquired by Italy-based Rainbow last October, Bardel’s service work for partners like DreamWorks, Nickelodeon, Disney, Warner Bros. and Cartoon Network expanded to include Rainbow programming. Bardel is also currently working with its parent company to create original content.
