L.A.-based e-commerce platform Loot Crate is partnering with Her Universe to release its first girl-focused mystery crate, dubbed LOOT4FANGIRLS.

The exclusive, limited-edition crate celebrates female heroes and includes loot inspired by characters from Marvel, Star Trek and DC Comics.

According to Loot Crate, the collaboration marks an effort to tap into an underserved fangirl market—one that is quickly taking off with the help of female-led properties like DC Super Hero Girls.

The LOOT4FANGIRLS mystery crates will include five exclusively licensed products. Each crate will include a dress from Her Universe, gear, a vinyl figure, an accessory and an offering from Espionage Cosmetics.

LOOT4FANGIRLS will be available for purchase online starting July 18 and will also be available for purchase at this month’s Comic-Con International in San Diego.

Founded in 2012, Loot Crate delivers monthly themed mystery crates to fans globally, and the company is currently in growth-mode after receiving US$18.5 million in Series A funding last month.
