Paris-based Studio Hari has launched its own distribution subsidiary, Hari International, under the leadership of ex-Gaumont Animation VP of international sales Adeline Tormo.

As head of sales for Hari International, Tormo will help create and oversee global sales and marketing strategies aimed to commercially exploit TV, video and merchandising rights for the company’s CGI-animated series. She previously steered Gaumont’s global sales business for eight years.

Studio Hari’s first title to be fully distributed by its new division is its original animated comedy Grizzly and the Lemmings. The series is currently in production and has been snapped up by France Télévisions and Turner for its Boomerang channels worldwide. Hari will also present a number of projects in development at Annecy’s International Animation Film Market (MIFA) next month.

Since its creation by Josselin Charier and Antoine Rodelet in 2006, Studio Hari has specialized in the production of original feature-quality CGI animation for TV. Previous titles The Owl, Leon, The Gees and The Owl & Co have been sold into more than 200 territories to major broadcasters like Disney, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Netflix, Nickelodeon, BBC and ABC Australia.
