Digital library platform hoopla digital has reached a content agreement with legendary publisher Archie Comics, which is also home to the world’s largest independent library of superhero characters.

Under the deal, hoopla digital’s app and online platform will add titles from three Archie Comics imprints, including the revamped Archie and Jughead; titles based on video games like Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man, and Archie’s Dark Circle comics that feature superheroes like The Black Hood. The digital platform will also add the rebooted Betty and Veronica series, following its print debut this summer.

Archie Comics titles can be accessed immediately on hoopla’s free digital app, as well as its online platform via smartphones, tablets and computers at more than 950 public libraries across North America.

The addition of Archie Comics boost’s hoopla’s digital library to more than 500,000 movies, TV shows, music albums, eBooks, audiobooks and comics. The service’s catalog also includes titles from DC Comics, Image Comics, Dark Horse Comics, Valiant Comics, DHX Media and more.
