Disney-owned Maker Studios has found its newest influencer in Colombian vlogger Sebastian Villalobos, as the multi-channel network continues to focus on the Latin American market.
The 20-year-old YouTube star and Viner has more than 2.9 million followers across platforms (including Twitter and Facebook), and creates all of his content in Spanish. Villalobos hit the mainstream media market as a featured contestant on the Colombian version of the reality show Dancing with the Stars earlier this year, and he was last year’s host of Nickelodeon’s Colombian edition of the Kids’ Choice Awards (where Villalobos also won the Favorite of the Web Award).
In the branded content space, Villalobos has worked with Adidas, Coca-Cola and Proctor and Gamble.
In joining the Maker network, Villalobos will grow his audience and ad/sponsorship reach on YouTube and other platforms with the help of Disney’s various brands and properties. The first planned collaboration for Villalobos will be a guest appearance on the Disney Channel Latin America linear series Soy Luna.
