Dubai-based MBC Group has picked up a raft of animated Yu-Gi-Oh! content from New York-based 4K Media for its specialized children’s edutainment channel MBC3, which airs in the Middle East and North Africa.

The deal includes the complete libraries of both Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters and Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL, as well as seasons one and two of the boy-skewing franchise’s new Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V series.

Duel Monsters will air on MBC3’s English and Arabic feeds, while the additional series will broadcast for MBC’s pan-regional Arabic-speaking audience.

MBC3 holds the global Arabic-language rights excluding Asia, plus the English-language rights for the MENA region.

The deal comes as 4K continues to expand the global breadth of the popular Yu-Gi-Oh! brand, with Coverpoint Marketing coming on-board in March to rep the IP across Australia and New Zealand.
