A month after signing a 4D movie deal for Octonauts, London and New York-based TV production and licensing co. Silvergate Media has inked a slate of international sales for its hit undersea preschool property.

Currently in its fourth season, Octonauts has already been picked up in more than 100 countries globally, including leading kidsnets such Disney Channel (US), ABC (Australia), TF1 (France), SuperRTL (Germany) and CCTV (China).

Joining the host of international broadcasters are Karusel (Russia), Disney Junior (Spain, Portugal) and SVT (Sweden), which should also open the door for a consumer products program launch across Russia, Iberia and Nordic territories.

And according to Silvergate Media, Octonauts’ expansion into these new EMEA territories comes after successful TV and merchandising rollouts in China and Korea.

As for the series itself, Octonauts follows a quirky and courageous team of eight heroes who dive into action whenever there is trouble under the sea. Equipped with a fleet of aquatic vehicles, they rescue sea creatures, explore new underwater worlds and often save the day before returning safely to their home base, the Octopod.

In addition to broadcast deals, the series is also available on apps such as Sky Kids, Wirly and ABC Kids iview.
