The stars of DreamWorks Animation’s box-office hit Home have found a new dwelling on Netflix, as the SVOD giant is set to premiere Home: Adventures with Tip & Oh as part of its original series lineup in July.
The series picks up where the 2015 animated film left off, and builds upon the lead characters’ friendship as they navigate the combined human and alien culture in which they live. The series will also include original music from teen performer Rachel Crow (Rio 2, X Factor).
Joining Crow, who plays Tip, are Mark Whitten (Rolling High) as the voice of Oh, along with Ana Ortiz (Devious Maids, Ugly Betty), Ron Funches (Get Hard, Undateable), and Matt Jones (Breaking Bad, Mom). Throughout the series’ first season, recurring and guest-starring voices will include Cheri Oteri (Saturday Night Live, Liar Liar), Abby Elliot (Saturday Night Live), Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite, Blades of Glory), and Wayne Knight (Jurassic Park, Seinfeld).
Home: Adventures with Tip & Oh was developed by Ryan Crego (Sanjay and Craig, Shrek Forever After) and Thurop Van Orman (The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack), and the series is executive produced by Ryan Crego.
The first season will be available exclusively to Netflix members in the US, Canada, Latin America, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, the Nordics, Benelux and France.
In addition to Home, Netflix is set to launch a number of new original series in partnership with DreamWorks Animation Television throughout 2016, following a newly expanded multi-year deal inked earlier this year. The agreement sees DreamWorks content–of both the original and feature film variety–stream in all Netflix markets outside of China
