As boy-skewing Yu-Gi-Oh! draws fans across Australia and New Zealand, New York-based 4K Media has tapped Australia’s Coverpoint Marketing as the anime brand’s licensing agent for both countries.

Coverpoint’s Yu-Gi-Oh! consumer products strategy will be unveiled at this weekend’s Toy Hobby & Licensing Fair, taking place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Earlier this month, 4K Media, which manages the Konami Digital Entertainment franchise outside of Asia, inked an exclusive licensing deal with lifestyle brand Silver Buffalo for a line of branded housewares, lifestyle products and accessories that will hit mass retail in Canada and the US.

Yu-Gi-Oh! is also gaining momentum in Eastern Europe, where Cyprus-based agency P. & R. Permissions & Rights recently expanded its relationship with 4K Media by licensing additional Yu-Gi-Oh! titles for broadcast and home video distribution. The property celebrates its 15th anniversary this year and is gearing up for a theatrical release in 2017.
