New York-based 4K Media, a subsidiary of Japan’s Konami Digital Entertainment, has been named master licensee by Tokyo’s Crown Creative for the girls fashion brand Rebecca Bonbon in North America and Europe.

4K will launch a licensing program for the brand spanning product categories like apparel, accessories, cosmetics, home décor, plush and pet products, all of which will be aimed at young girls.

New products are expected to hit select high-end and boutique retailers by late 2016.

Rebecca Bonbon is a Parisian fashionista French Bulldog created by Yuko Shimizu, the original designer of Hello Kitty. The IP, which has been particularly successful throughout Asia, is expected to complement 4K’s successful boy-skewing Yu-Gi-Oh! brand, while giving the company more opportunities surrounding girl-skewing product categories.
