DreamWorks Animation (DWA) continues to expand its presence in the international television market, having inked a deal with Lagardere Active TV for the exclusive free-to-air and basic pay-TV rights to its original series in France.

Lagardere Active TV channels Gulli, Canal J and TiJi, are set to air DWA TV series, including Dragons: Race to the Edge, The Adventures of Puss in Boots, All Hail King Julien, Turbo FAST, The Mr. Peabody & Sherman Show and Dawn of the Croods.

The collaboration will launch on Gulli in September with Dinotrux (pictured), DWA’s original series that welcomes viewers into a world of giant creatures that are half dinosaur, half construction vehicle.

The deal marks  the  first time the DWA content will debut on linear television in a territory that has already had access to its series via Netflix. In fact, DWA and Netflix continue to move rapidly forward with their partnership, most recently through a newly expanded multi-year deal that will see DWA content – including a number of original series and its feature film library – stream in all Netflix markets outside of China.
