Parisian animation studio TeamTO has upped Patricia de Wilde to director of marketing and new business. The industry veteran had been serving as a consultant for the company for the past year.
In her new permanent role, de Wilde will develop the studio’s overall marketing strategy, as well as new media and interactive projects, and oversee distribution and public relations.
De Wilde originally joined the company to help with the distribution and launch of TeamTO’s first animated film Yellowbird, which has been distributed in more than 35 countries including the US.
She also oversaw the launches of three original TeamTO properties: non-dialog comedy and Annecy selection Take it Easy Mike, Cartoon Forum selection HeroEek!, and the third season of Emmy-nominated Angelo Rules.
Prior to TeamTO, de Wilde was SVP of consumer products at Zodiak Kids and Marathon Media for 10 years.
She also previously held roles with VIP Licensing, Colombia Tristar International TV Distribution, Tele Images and Canal+ and helped found the French Licensing Association (F2D2).
The promotion comes on the heels of TeamTO’s production slate growing by 25% at the end of 2015. The growth drove the company to upgrade to its Bourg-lès-Valence studio recently, with its staff numbers increasing from 150 to 220.
The studio also continues to operate an office in Paris and one in L.A. run by former Disney and HIT Entertainment executive Lenora Hume.
Founded in 2005 by Guillaume Hellouin, Corinne Kouper and Caroline Souris, TeamTO has produced 300 half hours of original animation and worked with studios including eOne (PJ Masks), Disney (Sofia the First), Ubisoft (Rabbids Invasion), Bandai (Pacman), Nelvana (Babar and the Adventures of Badou) and Gaumont (Calimero).
