Cloud services company Afero and toy/video game makers Bandai Namco Studios are teaming up to curate and develop the next generation of smart toys.

By using Afero’s platform, Bandai will be able to securely build products and games with IoT (internet of things) capabilities. The platform provides mutual authentication, so that all incoming and outgoing data is continuously encrypted and never exchanged without proven identity.

Afero’s platform also encompasses the three key building blocks for all connected devices: the product, the mobile application and scalable cloud services. This allows companies and developers to deliver innovations faster to the marketplace by reducing the complexity and providing a secure connection between devices and trusted data in the cloud.
