Nickelodeon has ordered 20 episodes of animated adventure series Bunsen is a Beast!, created by animation veteran Butch Hartman, whose Emmy Award-winning series The Fairly OddParents has also been picked up for additional eps by the kidnet.

In new series Bunsen is a Beast! (pictured), which will also be executed produced by Hartman, the story follows two unlikely friends — a beast named Bunsen and a human named Mikey — who teach each other about the worlds from which they came.

The new order for The Fairly OddParents, Nick’s third longest-running animated series behind SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer, includes seven additional episodes as part of the series’ 10th season. The show returns on January 15 at 7:30 p.m. (ET/PT) for the 20-episode season, which will continue following 10-year-old Timmy Turner’s adventures with his well-meaning, but often calamitous fairy godparents.
