German brand management and media company m4e AG has teamed up with Austrian children’s and youth book author Thomas Brezina, of The Knickerbocker Gang fame, to develop a new boy-skewing adventure TV series.

Targeting the six-to-12 demo, the live-action/CGI-animated property will be created in a style similar to m4e’s popular girl-oriented Mia and me series. It will be jointly developed by m4e and Brezina’s company Tower 10 Media Group with an eye for a late 2018/early 2019 launch.

Brezina has written more than 550 books, which together have sold more than 770 million copies worldwide. He has also been producing TV series in the German-speaking territories for the last 25 years. In May, Zodiak Kids inked a production and distribution deal with Brezina’s Tower 10 for multiple co-productions, with the first project under the deal being an animated TV series based on Brezina’s bestselling Tiger Team book series.
