Toronto, Canada’s 9 Story Media Group has licensed the second season of its slapstick toon Numb Chucks to Disney Channels across Asia.

The new 26 x 22-episode season will broadcast in Asian territories including Southeast Asia, South Korea, Japan and the Indian Sub-Continent.

Originally premiering on YTV Canada in January 2014, Numb Chucks follows the comedic antics of two woodchucks that rely on their less-than-masterful kung-fu skills to protect the lives of the citizens in their home town of Ding-A-Ling Springs.

Since its launch, the series has been snapped up by Cartoon Network’s Boomerang (US), Cartoon Network (Latin America), ABC (Australia), TG4 (Ireland), Canal+ and Family (France) and Super RTL (Germany).

Disney Channels in Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, Israel and Benelux have also picked up the toon.
