Joining forces with France Télévisions, The Jim Henson Company has commissioned Paris-based youth content creator Kayenta Productions to develop and produce 26 shorts based on the preschool series Dinosaur Train.

Set to debut on France 5 in December, each three-minute episode sees Dinosaur Train‘s Buddy and his friends travel to a new island shaped like a letter of the alphabet.

Since launching in France, the Craig Bartlett-created series continues to rank among the country’s top-rated children’s shows.

The Jim Henson Company is currently in production on a fourth season and the new commission follows Henson’s appointment of Jazwares as the IP’s new master toy partner.
