FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment has added a number of new licensing agents to represent preschool series Kate & Mim-Mim .
Planeta Junior has signed on as licensing agent for all the European territories it covers, which include France ( Tiji), Iberia (Clan in Spain and Panda in Portugal), Italy (Cartoonito) and CEE (MiniMini in Poland and MiniMax in Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary). The deal also spans Turkey, where the series has been picked up by Minika.
In addition, Megalicense has been tapped as licensing agent for Russia and CIS, where Kate & Mim-Mim is due to air on Karusel and sister channel ANI. SRTL, meanwhile, is already acting as licensing agent for Germany, where the series airs on the Toggolino block on Super RTL.
US-based global master toy partner Just Play is creating a toy line focused on plush, dolls, playsets and figure packs that are scheduled to roll out in North America and the UK in summer 2016. A wider international campaign is expected to follow.
Kate & Mim-Mim chronicles the special friendship between spirited five-year-old Kate and her toy bunny Mim-Mim. In total, FremantleMedia has sold the series into 80 global territories, and a second season of Kate & Mim-Mim has been greenlit for transmission this spring. The 46 x 11-minute series is currently in pre-production and will include two themed seasonal specials.
FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment holds the exclusive worldwide TV distribution and licensing rights to the property outside of Canada, where co-production partner DHX Media handles the series.
