In a move to further its expansion in Asia, the Uglydoll brand will be a part of kids’ meals at more than 4,000 KFC restaurants throughout mainland China.
The retail promotion, which runs through this month, was inked by Uglydoll’s Asia licensing agent Global Pursuit, based in San Francisco. In addition to Uglydoll premiums being included in meals, the partnership entails in-store giveaways, as well as print and television support.
The universal appeal of Uglydoll plush toys led to theĀ brand’s initiation into China in 2013, and since then Global Pursuit has scored licensing deals for Uglydoll apparel, accessories and games across the region. New Jersey-based Pretty Ugly’s Uglydoll toys first launched in 2002.
