Toronto, Canada’s 9 Story Media Group has licensed the second season of acclaimed preschool series Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood to Disney Junior Latin America.

Since the 9 Story/The Fred Rogers Company/Out of the Blue co-production made its first season debut on Disney Junior Latin America in 2013, additional Latin America sales for season one were secured with TV Brasil and Mexico’s educational broadcast network Canal Once earlier this year.

The 2014 Shaw Rocket Prize winner, and Mr. Rogers’ Neighbourhood spin-off, follows the educational adventures of shy but brave four-year-old tiger Daniel, the son of the original program’s Daniel Striped Tiger.

PBS KIDS in the US and CBC in Canada debuted the early childhood development series in 2012 before multiple sales followed to international broadcasters including SRC (French Canada), Hulu (US), ABC (Australia), France Télévisions, SuperRTL (Germany), YLE (Finland), Luk International (Spain and Portugal), Hop TV (Israel), Zee Learn (Indian Subcontinent), E Junior (Middle East), True Visions (Thailand) and Minika (Turkey).

The series is executive-produced by Kevin Morrison for The Fred Rogers Company, Out of the Blue’s Angela C. Santomero (Blue’s Clues, Super WHY) and 9 Story Media Group’s Vince Commisso.
