The Walt Disney Company has upped one of its long-time senior marketing execs, Leslie Ferraro, to president of its consumer products division.

The former EVP of global marketing, sales and travel operations for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts will now oversee the company’s global consumer products operations, which covers toys, apparel, books and fine art through its licensing, publishing and Disney Store businesses.

Taking the reins at DCP, Ferraro fills a position that’s been vacant since Bob Chapek was promoted to chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts in February.

Ferraro joined the House of Mouse in 1999 as director of marketing for theme parks and resorts. She went on to a hold a number of executive posts, including SVP of global marketing strategy and new business initiatives, and VP of marketing for Disney regional entertainment. She has also served on the Hong Kong Disneyland board of directors.
