Disney is marking a new interactive chapter for its Disney Story Central platform, teaming up with telecom AT&T to bring its digital library to TV screens across the US.

Available to AT&T U-verse subscribers, Disney Story Central will be available as an SVOD service for US$8 per month.

Through the SVOD channel, families will have access to Disney’s broad library of read-along eBooks on their TV screens. New stories will be added to the platform every few months.

U-verse also carries Disney linear content, with live and on-demand programming available from Disney Channel, Disney Junior and Disney XD.

Disney Publishing launched Disney Story Central last summer as a digital library for kids and families. The cross-platform offering is also available as a mobile app and a tablet-optimized website. Since its debut, more than eight million digital books have been downloaded via the Disney Story Central mobile app.
