In a new multi-title pact between Electronic Arts, Illumination Entertainment and Universal Partnerships & Licensing, the popular Minions and other characters from upcoming Illumination movies are set to be featured in a series of brand-new mobile games.
As a part of the partnership, Illumination’s filmmaking team of writers, directors, artists, and animators are working with EA’s mobile development team on the creative for the new games.
The first title, Minions Paradise is slated for a worldwide launch this summer and allows users to create their own tropical Minion utopia via a brand-new Minion named Phil.

As a franchise, the Minions’ licensing program continues to grow with Jakks Pacific most recently unveiling an upcoming line of play products based on the yellow sidekicks.
Universal and Illumination’s next film features a multitude of Minions in the aptly named Minions. The spin-off is slated for release in US theaters on July 10.
