Looking to drum up even more excitement for the upcoming Star Wars movie, Disney Publishing Worldwide and Lucasfilm have announced a global publishing program peppered with clues about the film.

With the seventh installment in the franchise Star Wars: The Force Awakens  hitting US theaters on December 18, the Journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens publishing program is set to roll out in 36 countries this fall ahead of the film’s premiere.

In addition to clues for the new film, the books will introduce fans to new characters and narratives, as well as reintroduce old characters and key events from the original trilogy for a new generation of fans.

Notable authors recruited for the publishing program are Cecil Castellucci (Boy Proof), Greg Rucka (Detective Comics), Jason Fry (The Clone Wars: Darth Maul: Shadow Conspiracy) and Claudia Gray (Evernight series).

Titles from the program include Star Wars: Aftermath (Del Rey), Lost Stars (Disney-Lucasfilm Press), Smuggler’s RunA Han Solo Adventure (Disney-Lucasfilm Press), The Weapon of a JediA Luke Skywalker Adventure (Disney-Lucasfilm Press) and Moving TargetA Princess Leia Adventure (Disney-Lucasfilm Press).

In January, Disney Consumer Products revealed the film’s key licensees. Hasbro, The LEGO Group, Mattel, Jakks Pacific and Rubies are all on-board for the fall merch program.
