DHX Media is growing its European third-party licensing business CPLG with new offices in Stockholm, Sweden and Warsaw, Poland.
The new outfits are CPLG’s first in the Nordics and Central and Eastern Europe and mark the latest expansion for the company, which opened its first US office in L.A. last May.
It now adds Sweden and Poland to its collection of global outposts (the UK, Benelux, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the US, Canada).
Current MD of CPLG Benelux, Maarten Weck, has been tapped to head up the expansion. He is now MD of CPLG Northern Europe.
Filling out its new Northern Europe roster, CPLG has named Jenny Strehle Ilic as commercial director Nordic and Slawomir Ekiert as commercial director CEE. Strehle Ilic previously worked with Plus Licens and Rovio, while Ekiert headed up Denmark-based Ink Brands’ work in Central and Eastern Europe.
Right out of the gate, CPLG Nordic and CPLG CEE have been appointed to rep Mind Candy’s mobile game franchise World of Warriors in their respective regions. The offices will also handle licensing for DHX Brands properties, including Teletubbies and Twirlywoos, as well as oversee local licensing opportunities for other brands in the CPLG portfolio, including Michelangelo.
