L.A.-headquartered US Hispanic broadcaster MundoFox has snapped up 94 half hours of children’s programming from Toronto, Canada-based producer/distributor 9 Story Media Group.
The deal sees the Fox International Channels (FIC) and RCN joint-venture MundoFox acquire three 9 Story series—Wibbly Pig (52 x 11 minutes), Finding Stuff Out (42 x 22 minutes) and Artzooka! (26 x 22 minutes).
Hit preschool series Wibbly Pig is based on Mick Inkpen’s bestselling book franchise. which has sold more than two million copies worldwide. The TV show currently airs in more than 100 countries.
Live-action, science-based series Finding Stuff Out and hybrid arts and crafts program Artzooka! were both 9 Story acquisitions from CCI Kids in 2013.
The deal comes a week after 9 Story sold more than 300 episodes of its kids programming to free-TV channels in Latin America.
