FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment has granted Jazwares the master toy rights to its hit preschool property Tree Fu Tom.

As global master toy licensee, Jazwares is producing a new range of Tree Fu Tom toys for the UK, Asia, Canada and Latin America, while a variety of distributors will manage the range in other territories. Vehicles, figures and an interactive carry case playset lead the initial toy line.

Australia’s Funtastic is the first to distribute the toys, which will launch at retailers across that country this summer. A wider product rollout will follow in the UK and other territories.

Targeting four- to six-year-olds, Tree Fu Tom is set in the enchanted world of Treetopolis and follows the magical adventures of a young boy named Tom. Children are encouraged to get up and move along with the show that features movements designed to help kids with dyspraxia, a developmental coordination disorder.

Co-produced by FremantleMedia and BBC for CBeebies, Tree Fu Tom launched in early 2012 and is now broadcast in more than 123 territories around the world. It’s been greenlit for a third series, which is slated to debut in 2016.
