Licensing momentum continues to build around popular gaming brand Plants vs. Zombies, with leading annual and calendar publisher Pedigree Books in the UK getting on-board the program.

Plants vs. Zombies joins Star Wars Angry Birds, Cut the Rope and Sonic the Hedgehog in Pedigree’s portfolio of gaming licenses, and the specialized publisher is planning to release a Plants vs. Zombies activity annual and activity annual bumper pack in the UK and Ireland, all Commonwealth countries and North America next month.

Represented in Europe by Bulldog Licensing, Plants vs. Zombies has grown significantly on the L&M front with partners including Jazwares (plush and toys), Cooneen (nightwear and underwear), Smith & Brooks (apparel), Portico (greeting cards), K’Nex (construction toys), Character World (homewares) and A4T (digital peripherals).

Since Electronic Arts’ Popcap Games division first launched Plants vs. Zombies for Microsoft Windows and OSX in 2009, the franchise has expanded to encompass several games—Plants vs. Zombies 2 for mobile, a hit Facebook game that hosts more than one million players per month, and the new Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare for console.
