CBBC Productions is adding to its comedic and factual in-house programming with two new commissions set to air in 2015, including sketch comedy Class Dismissed and factual entertainment series The Dengineers.

Class Dismissed (12 x 15 minutes) is a school-based sketch show that is a parody of staffroom and playground stereotypes. Set at fictional Dockbridge High, the series was created by Steve Collins, Luke Beddows and Andy Potter, and will be produced by Claire McCarthy.

CBBC’s new 10 x half-hour factual entertainment show The Dengineers unites kids and experts to create a cool new den for a lucky CBBC viewer. On the interactive front, online “Den hacks” will let kids across the UK share their ideas and exchange tips of their own.

In terms of returning series, Dumping Ground (20 x half hours) has been picked up for a fourth season and will start filming in summer/autumn 2015. Launching alongside the series is new app The Dumping Ground – You’re The Boss, produced by Nikki Stearman.

Drama series 4 O’Clock Club (13 x half hours) will also return, with filming for season five starting next summer. Elmsmere High, Hacker T Dog and Sam & Mark’s Big Friday Wind-Up (10 x one hour) are also getting fifth seasons.
