In its search to find the most talented seven- to 17-year-old digital creators throughout the UK and Ireland, children’s marketing platform SuperAwesome has rounded up the last few sponsors for the upcoming Future8 Awards. Launched in partnership with the UK news org The Guardian, the Future8 Awards cover eight categories including games, music, video and web development.
The person who tops the Web category will win a trip to London and spend a day in the studio of Bin Weevils, makers of the kids-focused 3D virtual world with more than 20 million registered subscribers. The winner will also get to design a new Nest Item that will be part of the upcoming mobile game Weevil World.
NaturalMotion Games, who were recently acquired by Zynga, will bring the winner of the Animation category on a day trip to their headquarters in Oxford, UK to learn from the team behind mobile games like Clumsy Ninja and CSR Racing.
The winner of the Games category will be offered three one-hour mentoring sessions from Paul Collins, CEO of games developer and publisher Stick Sports. The sessions will focus on the process of developing, launching and marketing a game for the app store.
Outfit7, the mobile entertainment company behind Talking Tom and Friends, signed on earlier this year to sponsor the mobile app category.
The awards event will be take place on November 1.
