To better reflect its growing variety of business activities, Toronto, Canada-based 9 Story Entertainment has rebranded as 9 Story Media Group.
The rebrand comes on the heels of ZM Capital and Decode Entertainment co-founder Neil Court making an equity investment in the company.
According to Vince Commisso, who is continuing on as president and CEO, the rebrand reflects the company’s goal of becoming a global leader in kids and family IPs. It falls in line with the company’s expansion strategy, which saw 9 Story acquire CCI Entertainment’s library of kids and family content last year.
9 Story’s catalog currently includes 900 half hours of kids content, including Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood, Wild Kratts, Numb Chucks, Arthur and Peg + Cat.
