Speakaboos talks new partners

The mobile edutainment platform is expanding its digital reach with a raft of new distribution partners including LeapFrog, Fuhu and Fingerprint Digital.

Mobile edutainment platform Speakaboos has secured a number of new partnerships to distribute its content digitally. The company is partnering with LeapFrog, Fuhu, Fingerprint Digital and OverDrive, in a move that expands its reach across consumer and institutional channels.

Speakaboos creates interactive storybooks for digital devices. Its content will now be available to download on LeapFrog’s LeapPad kids tablets. Titles include The Ultimate Classic Story Collection, My Favorite Songs and All About Animals, which was released on the platform on September 16.

Kids tablet maker Fuhu will also run Speakaboos’ interactive storybooks. Speakaboos content will come pre-loaded on Fuhu’s nabi tablets, including its recently released DreamTab and the nabi Big Tab.

On mobile edutainment platform Fingerprint Digital, Speakaboos is set to be the anchor interactive storybook partner. It will also launch a selection of stories on OverDrive, a digital distributor of eBooks, audiobooks, music and videos. The OverDrive library will feature a mix of licensed and original stories from Speakaboos, including titles from The Jim Henson Company (Sid the Science Kid), Charlesbridge and Orca.

Speakaboo also recently sealed several content partnerships with the likes of the The Jim Henson Company, HIT Entertainment and Scholastic Media.
