In an effort to improve App Store discoverability for developers and parents, infant-focused media company BabyFirst has launched a developer partner program offering promotion and publicity through BabyFirst’s new mobile recommendation platform and TV network.

Curated by BabyFirst’s team of early childhood education experts, the platform is set up to recommend best-in-class educational and entertainment apps for babies, preschoolers and toddlers from both indie and recognized children’s media companies.

By submitting to the program at www.babyfirsttv.com/developers/ or by emailing apps@babyfirsttv.com, accepted developers may also get the chance to have their app turned into a television series.

BabyFirst has already produced two TV series based on app properties, The KneeBouncers Show (its first app-based program), and Ookii’s World from the creators of the Lazoo book and app series.

For its new developer partner program, BabyFirst is looking for iOS- and Android-compatible app submissions covering a variety of formats including video storytelling to books, games, music and activities.

Developers can then benefit from having their accepted apps promoted across BabyFirst’s cable TV network, which currently reaches more than 80 million households in 33 countries, including the US where it reaches more than 40 million homes.
