Singapore’s family-focused media company StarHub TV has added child development network BabyFirst to its programming lineup.

BabyFirst premieres today in standard definition on StarHub TV’s basic kids tier and will be available as a free preview for families from launch until October 31, 2014.

Since launching in 2000, StarHub now provides multi-channel pay-TV services across Singapore including HD, on-demand services and internet TV, as well as 4G, 3G and 2G services on its mobile broadband network.

BabyFirst, which offers 80% original programming and popular titles including Bonnie Bear and Rainbow Horse, is currently available to more than 80 million households in 33 countries including the US, where it reaches more than 40 million homes via DIRECTV, Dish Network, Comcast and AT&T U-verse.

Its Singapore debut comes just days after StarHub made Disney Movies On Demand available in Singapore for the first time on StarHub TV Channel 608 and StarHub TV Anywhere. The SVOD movie service featuring Disney hits such as CarsFinding Nemo and The Little Mermaid is currently an add-on channel that can be accessed across multiple screens.
